Walking along Willoughby Ave in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn and I see an elderly woman and she "feels" familiar to me. The way she's dressed, the way she walks, her whole vibe, it's as if I KNOW her, at least it feels that way. She catches me staring at her as we are passing one another and she says to me, looking kind of pissed off, "What are you looking at? She has a look of surprise on her face, smirks and she asks, "where's your mother?" and I reply, "she passed away a while ago", and the woman just looks at me, and stares at me... For a pretty long time... Like she's really considering this moment in time... Then, finally, after that long "consideration", she puts her hands on my cheeks, pulls my face to her, and kisses me on the top of my head and says, "God bless you for thinking that I look as beautiful as I'm sure your mother was".

She was...
